*SOLD* 1960s Vintage Yanagisawa 500 Tenor Saxophone
This is a very rare early Yanagisawa (1960s?), Japan manufactured tenor saxophone. It features guards and an octave thumb rest that are identical to Martin saxophones and the pinky table is identical to Conn saxophones. It’s a really interesting horn that plays just like the big robust American horns of the 1940s (reminiscent of Conn or King).
It has been completely overhauled and now plays amazing well - the tone is big and spread and the bottom end is particularly huge and resonant. The original neck sounds great, but has a few tuning quirks - so I have also included a spare vintage neck that has a beautiful tone also and better tuning throughout. It's a great match.
This saxophone comes in a tight fitting plastic shell Selmer Sax-pak case from the 1970s in perfect condition w a heavy duty zip and excellent handles.
It also comes with its original wooden stopper and a 12 month warranty on all mechanical parts and pads.
