1950s Dolnet Tenor Saxophone - Silver-plate
Stunning condition, fully overhauled Dolnet silver plate Tenor Saxophone circa the late 1950s. This horn has come from my personal collection and it is a reluctant sale. It was overhauled meticulously by Rob Davidson and setup to my personal specs - so it is feeling great mechanically. It has seen less than 20 hours play time since the overhaul.
The art deco style engraving and unique beveled metal keyguards make for a spectacular looking horn and this really has a powerful voice, particularly suitable for jazz, blues, rock and soul. It’s got some serious projection, but can subtone beautifully also, right down to low Bb.
It comes in an excellent condition plush 1970s vintage King Super 20 case.
This instrument comes with a 12 month warranty on all mechanical parts and pads.
