This mouthpiece was hand made from solid bronze using the lost wax casting method. It is hand finished and Rhodium plated - it is in excellent condition with only a few ligature scratches and a small amount plating wear on the rails. You cannot buy this piece from Ted Klum any more.
This is an older piece and I believe Ted Klum’s London model pieces are no longer completely hand made - from what I understand. It is a rare mouthpiece.
The sound is a extremely powerful - a Berg Larsen-like piece with huge amounts of harmonics and resonance. It generally has a lovely semi bright overall tone with plenty of complexity - but yes it can absolutely strip the paint of the walls when pushed! A huge pop/rock piece. I have not experienced anything like it to be honest. With a softer reed, it can be a bit more subdued and could suit jazz playing, no problem.
In it's original box with sticker and original black pouch. This mouthpiece is being sold as is, on consignment.
